Simon joined the railway in October 1988 and worked alongside many people in his years as a telecoms engineer.  Most will remember Simon for his quick humour and love of West Ham Utd FC where he was a lifelong season ticket holder.  Simon left behind a son and two step-sons as well as his partner of 13 years. Simon was a happy go lucky type of guy but could also make a good job of moaning about anything and everything too!  The hole that has been left behind since his death is immense as he was a larger than life character and had a gentle soul within his 6’4’’ frame.
